Celebrate Jeep's Entry in India on August 30

It is quite obvious that the Italian auto manufacturer Fiat Chrysler is bringing its most popular subsidiary Jeep in India by the end of August 2016. Sadly, only two products namely Wrangler and Grand Cherokee are going to be introduced in the market at first, while the third unit of the company isn’t coming here any soon. However, some media reports are also claiming about the launch of third Jeep unit that would take place early next year. One who is keenly interested to lay one's hand on the said units can avail all the information including price and booking amount on August 30.

Jeep Grand Cherokee

Talking about the Grand Cherokee first, it will be offered in two variants - Summit and Limited along with a high-performance model, Cherokee SRT. Furthermore, the Cherokee is expected to be powered by a 3.0-litre, EcoDiesel, turbocharged diesel engine, which will move the unit around with a power of 240 Bhp and 570 Nm of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters will stand beside the engine for dispatching the power at all four corners.

As we have notified you earlier, the performance-oriented trim SRT will come out with 6.4-litre, HEMI, V8 engine, which is capable of producing 470 bhp of whooping power with a massive torque of 630 Nm. The word here ‘HEMI’ refers to a “hemispherical combustion chamber” that provides some advantages to the internal combustion engine. Transmission option is the same as the regular version. Along with this configuration, the powerful SUV can sprint from naught to 100 kmph under 5 seconds.

Jeep Wrangler Unlimited at Stance

Coming to the brand’s entry level SUV, the Wrangler Unlimited, it will come packed with a lighter motor of a 2.8L, turbocharged, four cylinder diesel mill instead of a 3.0-litre, V6, 24-Valve DOHC VVT petrol engine, available in international market. The India-spec motor pumps out 197 bhp of power at 3600 rpm and 460 Nm of torque ranging between 1600-2000 rpm. Power will deliver to Command-Trac-Shift-on-Fly 4WD system through 5-speed automatic transmission.
