HMSI Launches 2017 Honda Dio Scooter At INR 49,132 (Ex-showroom, Delhi)

Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India has introduced the 2017 year version of its second largest selling scooter, the Dio at INR 49,132 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Apart from the mandatory BS-IV engine, from April 2017, the scooter also received AHO feature and new paint schemes update.

Cosmetically, the 2017 Honda Dio now equip bold body mounted headlamp along with LED strip on the handlebar. The headlamp ON/OFF switch is not now a part of instrument cluster due to scooter meets upcoming government regulations of AHO feature. The rear section has got a redesigned tail lamp unit and an under seat mobile charging socket is also being provided by the company. The Dio also witnessed addition of new dual tone paint schemes along with new decals.

Mechanically, the Honda Dio is powered by the same old 109cc single-cylinder engine of the previous model. However, the engine which is rated to propel 8bhp and 9Nm power output via a CVT transmission, has been tuned to comply BS-IV emission norms. Rides on tubeless tyres, the new Dio is armed with advanced Combi-Brake system for rider’s safety.

Available in five paint schemes including yellow/grey, orange/grey, red/grey, blue/white and matte grey, the scooter will go head to head with the likes of he Yamaha Ray ZR, TVS Scooty Zest and the Suzuki Let’s.
