The Jaguar XE Facelift went through lots of customization and now this updated XE has been inspired by F-Type sportscar and the all-electric I-Pace SUV. The company maintained the same engines but now it complies with the BS6 emission norms.
If we talk about the engine Jaguar XE P 250/180 are British-built, powerful, turbocharged petrol and diesel engines. The 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine generates 250hp and 365Nm of torque, whereas the 2.0-liter, four-cylinder, turbo-diesel engine produce 180hp and 430Nm of torque. All the generated power then processed via an 8-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox and sent to the rear wheels.
To deliver an engaging and efficient driving experience both engines are constructed with lightweight aluminum allow combined with advanced low-friction technologies. The front end features a sharper bumper and tweaked LED headlight, while the rear gets a new bumper with a refined diffuser lower down and also updated LED tail-lights, Additionally, the alloy wheels get a new design.
The Jaguar XE Facelift has an almost identical dashboard layout but you will get more tech than before. In the top-spec SE variant, there is a fully digital instrument whereas other models feature a large touchscreen infotainment system, along with an additional touchscreen with climate control and seat functions. The cabin is more conventional and tech-oriented even the hard plastics have been replaced with soft-higher quality plastic. These all increased the overall quality of the cabin.
2019 has been a relatively quiet year for this automobile manufacturer but with all the modification, tweaks and customization, it is now quite clear that Jaguar XE facelift is a fightback step by the company to hold its position in the market against newer rivals like the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, and Mercedes-Benz C-class.
