Apart from the launching of KTM RC 390 and KTM RC 200, the manufacturer has revealed a lot of things and discussed about its future plans. After introducing KTM Duke 200 in the year 2012 and following it Duke 390 had made its way towards India in 2013 and now, the RC brothers have made their entry on 9th September. The launching event of both the motorcycles was being held at Pune. The company has been planning to launch other variants of motorcycles in India in the coming few years.
The launching event was being addressed by the CEO of KTM, Mr. Stefan Pierer and Mr. Rajiv Bajaj, Head at Bajaj Auto Ltd. The announcement made by Mr. Stefan Pierer states that the company is being busy in producing a new adventure motorcycle, named as 1050 Adventure, a successor of 990 Adventure belongs to the Adventure family. The 1050 Adventure would likely to make its way towards India after a few months of its global unveiling.
As, the company mentioned that it will be developing a successor of 990 Adventure, the upcoming motorcycle will likely to be built upon the same platform of a tubular space frame and the same engine will get boost-up. The upcoming 1050 Adventure would have received the revised fuel-injected, 75-degree V-Twin engine with an engine displacement of 999cc. The refreshed engine will be capable to impress out a total power 112BHP and a peak torque of 100Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
The 1050 Adventure will be purely designed on the endure theme, through which one can go over the rough and even the toughest terrain. The additionals which will be received by the upcoming motorcycle are hand guards, a longer and more comfortable seat, taller windshield and tubular crash bars to protect the critical components of the motorcycle while riding over the rough terrain. The wheels are expected to be rugged wheels, which are highly compatible with any road condition, and it could also receive inverted telescopic front forks along with adjustable chassis.
