Land Rover Launches New Discovery SUV at Rs 68.05 lakhs

Tata owned Jaguar Land Rover has introduced the new Discovery SUV in its existing Indian lineup. This next generation vehicle is priced at Rs 68.05 lakhs (ex-showroom) and the bookings for the same are on at every Jaguar Land Rover dealership across the country.

Based on the brand's latest light full-size SUV architecture, the new Discovery is developed on an aluminum monocoque chassis which bring down the SUV's weight up to 480 kg than its previous model. With this reduced weight, it is likely to be quicker and even more capable than its predecessor. The comfort is no matter of concern for this upgraded model as the carmaker is globally renowned for its luxurious and comfortable offerings.

The SUV now features InControl Touch Pro infotainment system, a 14-speaker Meridian digital surround system, four 12V charging points, etc as the standard fitments. The central touchscreen offers smartphone connectivity to control applications which are the part of the InControl Touch Pro Services. The Intelligent Seat Fold technology is one of the highlighted features of the SUV as it allows to adjust the second- and the third-row seats.

Under the hood, the new Land Rover Discovery is being offered with both petrol and diesel engines. the supercharged 3.0-litre V6 petrol mill which power the Si6 variant is capable of churning out the maximum power of 335 bhp along with the peak torque of 450Nm. While, the other, a 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel engine propels the TdV6 trim option generates the maximum power of 254bhp and 600Nm of peak twisting force.

With a seven-seater layout, this full-size Land Rover Discovery will go in the competition with the players like the Mercedes-Benz GLS, Audi Q7, and the Volvo XC90.
