Made in India Jaguar F-Pace Launched at INR 60.02 Lakh

Tata Motors-owned Jaguar Land Rover has introduced its first locally assembled performance SUV, the F-Pace in India at the price sticker of INR 60.02 lakh. As stated by JLR India, it is the sixth model in brand’s lineup that is being manufactured at company’s Pune based production facility. For a reminisce, the 2018 Model Year F-Pace that has won the title of World Car of the Year Award this year at the New York Auto Show, will only be offered in a single variant 'Prestige' with only the 2-liter diesel engine. Being locally assembled the SUV witnessed a drop of around INR 16.5 lakh as compared to the pricing of CBU brought units. The bookings for the Jaguar F-Pace has started from today while the deliveries for the same will commence by the end of November month this year.

Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd (JLRIL) Managing Director and President Rohit Suri said, "The launch of the locally manufactured F-PACE signifies another milestone in our continued commitment and efforts towards 'Make in India' policy of the Government of India.

Under the hood, the F-Pace is powered by a 2-liter engine that in association with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and an all-wheel-drive setup is capable of generating the peak power of 177bhp along with 430Nm torque.

The locally assembled Jaguar F-Pace is being offered in 10 colour options to choose. Other than this, the SUV comes equipped with a host of alluring features to care the comfort and convenience of occupants. It gets adaptive LED headlights, an ambient lighting, a large touchscreen infotainment system with WiFi Hotspot connectivity options and the JLR Active key bracelet.

In terms of rivalry, the Jaguar F-Pace will go in direct competition with the likes of the Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV and ready to launch BMW X3 and Audi Q5 in the segment. Other than this, the model will also pose competition against the Land Rover Evoque in its lineup.
