Seems to be a low cost derivative of the Mahindra Mojo, an early stage prototype has been snapped recently by a motoring forum-Rushlane. Spotted in Lonavala, the test mule witnessed a slew of cycle parts alterations to cut down the price of the motorcycle and make it more cost effective motorcycle for its targeted young generation audience. From the list of the changes, the easily noticeable one is the placement of traditional telescopic front fork instead of bold USD fork of the ongoing Mojo.
Another major change which will help the bike maker to bring the price down significantly is the new derivative is running only on the single exhaust. The left side silencer canister of the current model has been eliminated from this upcoming. Even though from the surfaced image, one can not easily observe this change, but the visible header pipe of the single exhaust will make you believe of it.
Reportedly, this new derivative is likely to be ready in its full fledged form sometime in 2017. Altogether that production version might lose some more components like twin pod headlamp assembly with DRLs and costlier Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres for MRF units.
On pricing, this new low cost derivative will be placed below to the extant model and will create a completely new market for Mahindra. Other than this, it will undercut the sales of the rivals like upcoming Bajaj CS400 and the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
With this strategy, Mahindra is hoping to attract a huge volume of audience and increase sales figures of the company. The current Mojo will continue to cater those who demand for upmarket features.
