Special Edition Mahindra Mojo has been launched by Mahindra Two-Wheelers in India at a price of INR 1.93 lakh (Ex-showroom, Pune). One month back, a low-cost derivative of the bike was spotted undergoing tests in Lonavala. With a bunch of accessories and body protectors, the motorcycle has certainly been improved in terms of touring responsibilities.
By paying an additional amount of INR 20,000 as against the ongoing variant, the newbie will be adorned with a mobile phone holder, auxiliary fog lamps, tank bag, saddle bags, new seat cover and a mounted tail pannier. The engine and body panels are being protected by a guard in case a crash occurs. After-market accessories can easily be availed by the customers to make their bike retrofitted. A free riding jacket comes available with the Mojo Tourer edition.
In terms of mechanicals, it is a replica of the standard variant and comes shod with a 296cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which is capable of delivering 28 BHP of power and 30NM of torque. All power gets transferred to the rear wheel via a six-speed gearbox.
Mahindra, by introducing this special edition, is mulling to hold a good position in the touring motorcycle segment. The existing customers of Mahindra Mojo need not fret about the missing accessories as they can get the same by approaching any nearby Mahindra dealership.
