Maruti Suzuki has officially announced that from tomorrow, April 1, 2017, the premium sedan, Ciaz will be sold through the Nexa outlets in the country. The Ciaz which is currently being sold via regular dealerships of Maruti Suzuki, will be now exclusively available in Nexa showrooms. With the Ciaz, the Nexa gets to extend its vehicle lineup.
Now you can book the following cars via Nexa:
Ciaz - Premium Sedan
S-Cross - Premium Crossover
Baleno & Baleno RS - Premium Hatchback
Ignis - Urban Compact
With shifting the Ciaz in Nexa, Maruti Suzuki discontinued the base variant ‘V’ which came with the lake of basic safety features such as ABS and airbags. Now, the premium sedan from Maruti Suzuki is only being offered in four variants namely Vxi(O), Vxi+, Zxi and Zxi+. Though it is now being sold via Nexa outlets, ergo the variants names have been renamed to Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha respectively.
Besides, the Ciaz is now available in a new exterior shade, Blue. Though, the Black paint option has been removed.
Taking a look at the numbers, the popular sedan, Ciaz was launched in October 2014 and is the highest selling car of the C-segment in India with more than 1,50,000 units have been sold since its launch.
On the powertrain, Ciaz is offered in both petrol and diesel engine options. The later one, however, comes with Suzuki's hybrid technology –SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki).
