Sometime back, it was confirmed by Mercedes that the new Maybach S-Class saloon is all set to arrive at Indian showrooms. And now as scheduled, the brand has rolled out both S500 and S600 models in the country at INR 1.67 Crores and INR 2.6 Crores respectively, (both prices ex-showroom). The former will be assembled locally while, the latter will be entering through the CBU route.

Maybach is not a new brand but this time it is being re-introduced along with an 'S' in its name which represents the S-Class of Mercedes. This means that both the newly launched models borrow styling cues from the S-Class lineup. On the outside, the sedan gets a ravishing grille, alloy rims and extended back doors. There are also some Maybach emblems found on the C-Pillars while the name Maybach has been engraved on the boot lid.

Discussing the interior, it is home to a wide array of luxury and comfort features. The rear occupants can recline the seats upto 43 degrees. They also get to avail a massage system, foldabale tables, 1540 Watt 3D Surround Sound System and entertainment system with screens. There is a panoramic sun roof, splitview, magic vision control and a total of 12 airbags for safety. It is also claimed to be the quietest car in the world for rear passengers.

Coming on to the mechanical part, the S500 gets power from a 4.7 litre, V8 engine propelling 459 Hp/700 Nm output. On the other hand, the S600 gets fitted with a 6 litre, V12 Bi-Turbo engine pumping out 530 Hp/830 Nm output. Both the Maybach beauties are efficient enough to sprint upto 100 km/h in just 5 seconds, reaching at the top speed of 250 km/h.
