According to the TVS Motor President and CEO, K N Radhakrishnan, the company's primary goal is to increase sales volume, which, in turn, would make the dealers profitable and lower the component costs and improve the profitability.
In order to achieve this, the company set a target to grab 15 percent market share this fiscal. And, this could be attained by the increase in sales of the 110cc commuter range of motorcycles and scooters in the product lineup. So now, TVS is expecting an uprise in the sales of new Victor from 15,000 units to 20,000 units monthly altogether with TVS Jupiter scooter in the market.
If considered the last month sales report of the company, it registered a sales hike of 14 percent with the marked sales of 248,002 units as compared to the similar month previous year, when automaker recorded 218,321 units sale. So the company is eyeing for 15 percent growth two-wheeler sales volume this fiscal.
After witnessing so many ups and down in the commuter segment, TVS brought again the Victor after a long interval of eight years under the same moniker. Current TVS Victor is more stylish in cosmetic and upgraded in technicals than ever. Developed around a single cradle tubular frame, this new Victor houses an 110cc single-cylinder engine that is capable of producing maximum power of 9.4 bhp at 7,500 rpm and peak torque of 9.4Nm at 6,000 rpm with the mated four-speed gearbox.
Overall the motorcycle is capable enough in terms of style, design languages, performance, and fuel economy to get these 20,000 unit sales mark every month.
