Though recently held 2015 Tokyo Motor Show unveiled Datsun-Go-Cross at Nissan's global headquarter but, if recent reports by the Financial Express are to be believed the same model is heading towards the upcoming Auto Expo 2016. Datsun Go-Cross is almost similar to Datsun GO+MPV except the crossover bodystyle that differentiates it from the previous models.

Though the company is gearing up to unveil GO-Cross in the upcoming Auto Expo, the company also confirms that there is time in the production. As per Vincent Cobee, Global Head of Datsun, the next Datsun launch in India will be a model based on the CMF-A platform (that underpins the Renault Kwid) and that it will happen in early-2016. He was referring to the Datsun Redi-GO that was recently spied testing in Chennai. It is likely that the production-spec Redi-GO will be presented at the Auto Expo in Greater Noida in February.
The reports also claim that the Datsun GO-Cross will eventually be made available in 5- and 7-seat versions, but the one to be showcased at the Auto Expo will be a 5-seater and it will be launched ahead of the 7-seat model and that the GO-Cross will be priced higher than both the Datsun GO hatchback and the GO+ MPV.
