Asus Uncovered ZenPad Z8 With 7.9-Inch 2K Display

Asus and Verizon have launched the new ZenPad Z8 tablet in the US. It is priced at $249.99 (roughly Rs. 16,800) without a contract, the new Asus ZenPad Z8 is currently available for pre-orders via Verizon Wireless online and is listed to start shipping from June 23. It will be also available with a two-year contract at $149.99 (roughly Rs. 10,000).

The Asus ZenPad Z8 highlights a 7.9-inch IPS display and comes with a 2K display having a screen resolution of 2048x1536 pixels. Asus says that the display on the ZenPad Z8 will offer a 178-degree viewing angle.

The tablet is powered by a 1.4GHz hexa-core Snapdragon 650 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM. It will accompany 16GB of inbuilt storage and will be expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot expansion. On the software end, it runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow-based ZenUI highlights double front-facing stereo speakers offering DTS-HD sound.

For the photography, the tablet bears an 8-megapixel back camera and houses a 2-megapixel front camera.

The tablet is backed by a 4680mAh battery and accompanies 4G availability choice by means of SIM. Other availability choices incorporate Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, Glonass, and the tablet comes with USB Type-C port.
