Centric S1 Pop- Up Selfie Camera Phone Showcased At MWC 2019 Along With Four New Models

As expected, the Centric S1 has been showcased at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 in Barcelona. It is the company’s first smartphone that comes with a pop-up selfie camera. The key features of Centric S1 include an in-display fingerprint sensor, Facial Unlock and more. The Centric S1 would be shipped with fast- charger through Pump Express 3.0 that claims to charge 50 percent battery only in 20 minutes. The native smartphone maker has also showcased various other models namely Centric L4, Centric A2, Centric G5, and Centric G3 alongside Centric S1.

Centric S1 Price

The Centric S1 is priced at $310 (roughly Rs 22,000) for the base 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage model. As of now, the company has not revealed the price of 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage model of the Centric S1.

The Centric L4 costs $90 (roughly Rs 6,400) which translates into Rs 6,400. On the other hand, the Centric A2 has been priced at $140 (roughly Rs 9,900).

The Centric G5 and the Centric G3 are costing at $160 (roughly Rs 11,400), and $250 (roughly Rs 17,700) respectively.

All of the newly launched Centric smartphones will be available for purchase from June in the Indian market. The Indian pricing of these models is not available at the moment.

Centric S1 Specifications

The Centric S1 comes with a 6.39-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display that offers 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 92 per cent screen-to-body ratio and 700 nits of brightness. It will be shipped with Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box. It has been equipped with an octa-core MediaTek Helio P70 SoC. It is available in 4GB/ 6GB RAM and 64GB /128GB storage options.

The Centric S1 features dual rear camera consisting of 16MP primary and 5MP secondary sensor. An LED flash is positioned below the rear camera set up.

Up front, there is an 8MP sensor in the form of a pop-up selfie camera module. It looks like the Centric S1 compete against the likes of Vivo V15 Pro and Vivo Nex that also features a similar pop-up selfie camera but having different camera sensors. Under the hood, the Centric S1 is powered by a 3,080 mAh battery with the support of fast charging through Pump Express 3.0.

Centric L4 Specifications

The key attractions of the Centric L4 include a 5.45-inch HD display, Android 8.1 Oreo OS, quad-core MediaTek MT6739 SoC, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 13MP autofocus OptiVu rear camera which is accompanied by an LED flash and packs a 2,950mAh battery.

Centric A2 Specifications

The Centric A2 comes with a display notch that has a 5.86-inch HD display, 19:9 aspect ratio and runs on Android Pie - out-of-the-box. The Centric A2 packs dual 13MP+5MP sensors on the rear panel and 8MP front-facing camera. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It is armed with a 3,400mAh battery.

Centric G5 Specifications

The Centric G5 features a 6.21-inch HD display along with water- shaped display notch and it is based on Android Pie OS. Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 SoC along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage.

The Centric G5 comes with a dual rear camera set up that consists of a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor which is accompanied by an autofocus lens. Up front, there is an 8MP selfie snapper. It supports facial ID recognition as it allows users to unlock the device with facial gestures. The Centric G5 is armed with a 4,050 mAh battery.

Centric G3 Specifications

The Centric G3 features a 6.23-inch screen, full-HD+ display, 20:9 aspect ratio, octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage and a 3,080 mAh battery.

For the photography purpose, the Centric G3 has dual sensors on the rear panel that consists of a 12MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor. For selfies and video calling, there is an 8MP front-facing camera.
All the newly launched Centric smartphone have a fingerprint sensor but the Centric G5 also gets Facial Unlock Feature.
