Huawei P20 Pro, P20 Lite Launched In India Price, Specifications and Much More

Huawei P20 Pro and P20 Lite flagship smartphones have been recently launched in India on 24th April, as these smartphones were previously showcased globally on 27th March in Paris. The Chinese technology company previously posted the official teaser on Indian website with the tagline “Coming Soon in India", though the teaser not mentioned the date and timings of India launching.

It is the first time that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer company is offering the P- series flagship smartphones in India. The Huawei P20 series is listed on e-commerce platform Amazon India. The Chinese company is currently offering only Huawei P20 Pro and P20 Lite in the Indian market, whereas the Chinese company is not launching the regular Huawei P20 in India at the moment. The launch event of Huawei P20 series flagship smartphones conducted on 24th April in New Delhi.

Huawei P20 Pro Specifications

The P20 Pro flaunts a 6.1-inch OLED display with the screen resolution of 2,240 x 1,080 pixels and has an 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by the Kirin 970 processor, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. It packs a larger 4000 mAh battery along with the support of wireless charging. The company unveiled the smartphone in three colors options: black, midnight blue, pink gold, and twilight. The home button is positioned on the front panel of the smartphone which supports fingerprint scanner. The smartphone is said to feature a gesture support on the home button such as such as short tap for the back, long tap for home, and swiping left or right for multi-tasking. The company reported that the P20 Pro comes with thinner bezels and a smaller notch on the top as compared iPhone X.

The Huawei P20 Pro runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and based on EMUI 8.1. The smartphone is bundled with Google ARCore and customized Google Assistant.

The Huawei P20 Pro is a premium variant, whereas the Huawei P20 Lite is available at an affordable price. The P20 Pro is the first smartphone that comes with triple lens camera set up on the back. The smartphone has a notch on the top of the display similar to Apple iPhone X. The Huawei P20 Pro comes under the category of expensive slab rate, as it is priced at Eur 899 (roughly Rs 73,000+). It seems that the P20 Pro is available for purchase at a price tag of Rs 60,000 plus in India. At the price point, it is anticipated that the smartphone will compete against the likes of iPhone 8, iPhone X and Samsung Galaxy S9 in the Indian market.

The key highlighting feature of the Huawei P20 Pro is triple lens camera on the rear panel. The rear camera set comes with a 40MP RGB sensor, a 20MP monochrome sensor, and an 8MP sensor and features a telephoto lens. The smartphone supports 3X optical zoom and 5X hybrid zoom and also has a bokeh mode effect which helps to capture the beautiful images. The P20 Pro has a 24MP front-facing camera for capturing selfies and video calling. The P20 Pro is promised to deliver images similar to DSLR as it comes with a 40MP sensors.

Huawei which is a sub-brand of Honor is likely to launch the new smartphone, dubbed as Honor 10 in India, though the specifications of Honor 10 leaked ahead of the launch event, which is likely to be conducted on 15th May 2018 in London.

Huawei P20 Lite Specifications

The Huawei P20 Lite priced affordably in India and it costs around Rs 20,000. It bears a 5.84-inch Full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio along with 18:9 aspect ratio. The P20 Lite is powered by a the HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. The affordable smartphone has a notch on the top of the display. In terms of optics, the Huawei P20 Lite packs a 16MP+2MP camera on the rear panel. The rear camera feature a Bokeh Mode Effect which helps to capture the beautiful images. For the selfie snapper, the smartphone has a 16MP front-facing camera. It is fueled by a 3,000mAh battery with the support of Huawei’s fast-charging technology.
