Lava Launches Two Budget-Friendly Smartphones in India

It looks like the Indian smartphone makers are on a constant battle with each other. After iBall unveiling its Andi 5L Rider smartphone, even Lava Mobiles has come up with two brand new smartphones for its home base users.

Both the new Android smartphones i.e., Lava A32 and the Lava A68 are easy on pocket for one and all as both the smartphones lie below the range of Rs 5000. It may sound fake, but the reality is this only since Lava A68 has been priced at Rs 4,599 while price of Lava A32 has fallen as low as Rs 2,999.

The company has listed the products on its website, but has not yet divulged any information on the avaialability of the smartphones, however it is expected that the handsets would be made available for purchase soon via local retailers.

Lava A68 offers 1GB of RAM capacity

In terms of specifications, Lava A68 features a 4.5-inch display with WVGA display that gives a resolution of 480x800 pixels. It is a Dual-SIM smartphone that operates on latest Android v6.0 Marshmallow OS and is powered by an unspecified 1.2GHz quad-core SoC. It comes equipped with 1GB of RAM, offers 8GB of in-built storage with expansion up to 32GB.

The Lava A68 sports a 5-megapixel rear camera coupled with a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera such that both camera's comes with a support for LED flash. In terms of connectivity, the GSM-handset offers 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, a Micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm audio jack options. The device is powered by a 1750mAh battery, and dimensionally it measures 134x66x9.6mm.

Lava A32 specifications overview

The other product Lava A32 too is a Dual-SIM smartphone that works on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS and sports a 4-inch WVGA display with a resolution of 480x800 pixels. Under the hood, the device is powered by a 1GHz single-core SoC coupled with 256MB of RAM.

The Lava A32 further sports a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, coupled with a 0.3-megapixel camera on the front end. It comes loaded with 512MB of inbuilt storage with expansion up to 32GB using an external microSD card. It houses a 1500mAh battery and physically it measures 124.4x64.6x10.8mm. On the connectivity front, Lava has loaded the device with limited options that majorly includes 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and FM radio facility.
