Lenovo K5 Note Launched in China with Metal Body and Helio-P10 Processor

In a surprising act today, Lenovo launched its upgraded K5 Note, in China. This is company's second successive release in just 4 weeks after the launch of Lenovo K4 Note. The new release is for now only available in the market of China and there is no confirmation as to when it will be launched in other parts of the world. The Lenovo K5 Note is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts two Nano-SIM, unlike Lenovo K4 Note that supports Micro-SIM.

The Lenovo K5 Note is an upgraded variant of its sibling K4 Note and factors that differentiate the two smartphones is that K5 Note features a complete Metal Body, thereby giving it a magnificent look over its sibling. The Lenovo K4 Note was originally launched at Rs 11,999 with Media Tek MT6753 Octa-Core 64-bit processor whereas, the Lenovo K5 is priced at Rs 11,350 with Media Tek Helio P10 Octa-Core Processor.

Additionally, the duo differs in terms of front camera, as Note K4 has 5-megapixel front camera while, the K5 Note sports front camera of 8-megapixel. Also, the RAM of K4(3GB) is higher than that of K5 note(2GB). The Lenovo K5 Note has better battery power than that of K4 Note, as it houses 3,500 mAh battery which is 200 mAh more than that of K4 Note.

On the specification front too they are similar in many aspects as both have 5.5-inch Display, 16 GB internal storage capacity with the option of expanding it up to 128GB using a MicroSD card. Both the handsets feature a 13-megapixel rear camera and operate on Android Lollipop v5.1 OS that is designed with features of Vibe UI platform and supports 4G LTE connectivity options apart from the standard options that include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC etc. Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope.

Just like Lenovo K4 Note, the new K5 Note too features a Finger Print scanner making it secure and though, many of the specifications are similar in both the handsets, but the presence of the metal body and Helio -P10 processor definitely make K5 Note a better choice over K4 note.
