Lenovo K8 Plus Launched in India, Will Be Flipkart Exclusive

Today, the Lenovo K8 Plus has been released by the company, at an event in New Delhi at 11:30 PM. Earlier, Lenovo had been teasing a lot about the upcoming K8 Note and has now been finally been launched in the country. The handset comes with dual rear cameras of the 13-megapixel Purecel sensor and 5-megapixel depth sensor to deliver the bokeh effect. On the front, the smartphone packs an 8-megapixel camera with 5-element lens and a selfie flash for the Selfies and video calling. The selfie camera can shoot images in Beautify Mode, Pro Mode, and wide angle. The Lenovo K8 Plus sports metallic body and comes in two color variants- Venom Black and Fine Gold color.

The Lenovo K8 Plus price in India is set as Rs. 10,999 and is Flipkart exclusive which will go on sale on Thursday, 7th September at 12 pm IST. Launch offers include extra 15% off on Flipkart Fashion on 7th and 8th September, with BuyBack Guarantee of up to Rs. 5,000; Moto Pulse 2 headphones at Rs. 599 (instead of the standard price of Rs. 1,599), up to Rs. 10,000 off on exchange of your old smartphone, up to 30GB of additional Reliance Jio data for Rs. 399 (including Prime for Rs. 99) and 5W Bluetooth speaker.

Lenovo K8 Plus Specifications

At the launch event, Lenovo confirmed that K8 Plus has a 5.2-inch full-HD IPS display screen with the resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels Corning with Gorilla Glass protection and brightness rated at 450 nits. The handset runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system and is backed by a 4000mAh battery that is claimed to deliver two days of juice, including up to 13 hours of web browsing and 100 hours of music playback. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 SoC coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. Connectivity options include dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB OTG. On the back of the phone are a fingerprint sensor and the LED flash. Sensor onboard includes an ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and accelerometer sensor.

The company said it will also launch another model - named Lenovo K8 - via offline retail stores in the next few weeks. This handset will be quite similar to the new K8 Plus, but will have a single 13-megapixel rear camera, and a 2.3GHz octa-core MediaTek P20 processor. The other features will be similar.
