Nokia 4.2 comes to India with price tag of INR 10,990

The company has launched the Nokia 4.2 in India on 7th May 2019. The newly launched smartphone was first disclosed at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) in February 2019. The company has added two features such as a notification light in the power button and the Google Assistant button which were not present in the smartphones of the company.

Price

The Nokia 4.2 carries a price sticker of INR 10,990 for the 3 GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. The company has not yet revealed its plan to launch the 2GB RAM variant in India. The smartphone will be available in two color options- Black and Pink Sand.

Availability

The Nokia 4.2 can be grabbed from the online store of the company for a week and then it will be available in selected retail stores including Reliance, Croma, Poorvika, Big C, Sangeetha, and MyG from 14th May. from 21st May the phone will become available in all the major retail stores.

Launch Offers

If the customers purchase the smartphone from the online store of the company then they will get Rs 500 discount. To avail this discount, the customer has to use the promo code- “LAUNCHOFFER” which is valid till 10th June 2019. The customers using Vodafone Idea service will get Rs 2,500 cashback in the form of 50 vouchers of Rs 50 each.

Specifications, design, features, and Camera of the Nokia 4.2

Specifications

In terms of the specifications, the Nokia 4.2 sports a 5.71-inch HD+ screen with a screen resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels, an aspect ratio of 19:9 and 270PPI. The smartphone under the hoods gets the power from the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC which is mated with Adreno 505 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard memory which can further be expanded up to 400GB via a microSD card slot.

Design

In terms of the design, the smartphone comes with a teardrop notch on top of the display. The smartphone also carries big bezels at the bottom as well as at the top. To give a premium look, the company has added 2.5D glass at the front and back.

Features

In terms of the features, the Nokia 4.2 comes with face unlock and fingerprint scanner at the back for security along with an NFC chip. The smartphone measures 148.95 x 71.30 x 8.39 mm and weighs 161 grams. The handset runs on the latest Android 9 Pie out of the box.

In terms of the connectivity options, the smartphone includes a 3.5mm audio jack, Micro-USB 2.0 port, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi b/g/n, 4G, FM radio, VoLTE, and VoWiFi support.

Camera

In the imaging department, the Nokia 4.2 comes with dual rear camera setup i.e. 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.2 lens and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 lens. At the front, there is a teardrop notch which houses an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 lens for selfies and video calling.
