2016 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 Blessed with Assist and Slipper Clutch Technology

The manufacturer would feature the 2016 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 with an Assist and Slipper Clutch to add more jam in its ride quality and performance. This information popped up on the Kawasaki’s Australian website. The assist and slipper clutch have been achieved by production models that are under standard operating conditions. The changes are only made to the technical profile as, apart from the two new paint schemes- Green/Black and Gray/Black, the manufacturer has not made any changes in its body profile. It is not a big surprise as the Assist and Slipper clutch have already acquired in Versys 1000, which shares the engine and transmission of Z1000SX’s.

The slipper clutch does a good job as this technology allows quick downshifting even at the high speed, without locking the wheel. A rider downshift the gears at high speed while having cornering. Sometimes, the clutch remains engaged while performing the action and the rear wheel suddenly locks for a while resulting in the loss of traction. To prevent the rear wheel from locking, the assist and slipper help you to perform the action.
