Volvo Launches S60 T6 Petrol Variant in India

After a series of newly launched models like XC 90 and V40, the Swedish car brand Volvo, has gone ahead to launch its S60 T6 model in India. This upcoming vehicle is a petrol version of the S60 sedan. Like all other models of Volvo, this car has also been brought in India as a Completely Built Unit. This new saloon is priced at INR 42 Lacs, ex-showroom, Delhi.

The new S60 T6 features 18 inch alloy wheels along with projector headlamps, LED tail lights and LED daytime running lights. Under the hood, it will carry a two litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that generates a power of 306 Hp and 400 Nm of torque. Clubbed to this powertrain, is an eight-speed automatic transmission system. Unlike the previous version, this model has a Front Wheel Drive setup instead of All Wheel Drive setup. The acceleration offered is upto 100 km per hour in just 5.9 seconds with a top speed of 230 km per hour.

The cabin of this vehicle is loaded with numerous modern features. Its interior carries leather upholstery, power adjustable seats, automatic climate control, electric sunroof and fixed headrests. The steering wheel is wrapped up in leather and the instrument cluster offers three modes- Eco, Elegance and Performance. The infotainment system is available with a seven inch touchscreen along with Bluetooth connectivity.

It also offers world class safety features like central locking system, keyless drive and interior movement sensor alarm on the top range models. Other important features include an automatic braking system, traction control, stability control, cruise control, water repelling windows, speed sensitive power steering and a range of front and side airbags.

The newly launched S60 T6 will be competing with the existing models like Mercedes Benz C200 and BMW 3 Series 328i. With so many models launched this year, it is clearly evident that Volvo is trying hard to fix a spot for itself in the luxury car segment.
