Renowned Swedish manufacturer, Volvo, has launched the S60 Cross Country in India at INR 38.9 Lakhs. With the debut at the 2015 Detroit Motor Show, the Cross Country has been slotted in the entry-level luxury sedan category. The S60 Cross Country sedan sits against the likes of the prominent sedans namely Audi A4, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and the BMW 3-Series.
The sedan looks balanced from all corners. however, it lacks the kind of aggressiveness as seen in BMW 3-series, the cross country stands unique and descent. The front fascia gets a trendy honeycomb grille plus slender headlights.The L-shaped tail lamps add extra beauty to the exterior. Dynamically, the Volvo S60 measures 4,638mm in length, 1899 mm in width and 1,539mm in height.
The 2016 Volvo S60 comes powered by a 2.4-litre 5-cylinder D4 diesel engine that generates about 190 PS of peak power at 4,250rpm and 420Nm of torque at 1,750 to 2,500rpm. The powerful engine comes mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Volvo has offered an All Wheel Drive (AWD) system with the S60 Cross Country Sedan. The sedan is cable of sprinting 0-100 km/h in just 8.8 seconds and offers a top speed of 210 km/h.
The vehicle come loaded with an array of safety features like Antilock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Electronic Brake Assistance (EBA), and Hill Descent Control (HDC).
