2017 BS-IV Compliant TVS Jupiter Launched; Gets AHO, SBS, and 2 New Colours

2017 BS-IV compliant TVS Jupiter, which was spied a few days ago, at a Delhi dealer yard, has finally been introduced to the existing product lineup. The highly acclaimed and best selling TVS scooter will now be available with of a number of safety fitments such as Auto Headlamp On (AHO) and Sync Braking System (SBS).

Going to be mandatory in the BS-IV emission regulations, the AHO ensures optimum vehicle lighting all the times, without switching headlights ON/OFF manually. Whereas, SBS makes certain rider's safety by automatically engaging the front brake when the rear brake uses. In addition to that, TVS has also included two new colour options- Jade Green and Mystic Gold, which extended the Jupiter colour range to 10.

Mechanicals are all same, the 2017 TVS Jupiter, which is now BS-IV compliant, will get the propelling power from an all-aluminium, low friction 110cc engine. The underpinned motor is rated to pump out 8PS of power at 7,500 rpm and 8Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm.

Interestingly, the Jupiter’s base variant will now be equipped as well, with the features previously offered in the top ranging ZX variant. Moreover, the TVS-patented Econometer which guides rider in both ‘Eco Mode’ and ‘Power Mode’ is also provided in the Instrument console.

Speaking at the launch event, Mr. Aniruddha Haldar, Vice President Marketing- Scooters, TVS Motor Company, said, “TVS Jupiter has received such enthusiasm from the consumers, in response to its credo of Zyada ka Fayda. Living true to this credo not only is the entire Jupiter range now BS-IV compliant, it now offers the unique Sync Braking System (SBS) across the entire range (earlier only available on the ZX range). Further, for our customers, we are adding two colours Jade Green and Mystic Gold, giving them 10 colour options to choose from. We are happy to offer all this with absolutely no change in the Ex- showroom price, truly ZYADA KA FAYDA!”
