Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special has got Wings in India

The Harley-Davidson has finally come-up with three new upcoming for the India crowd. After launching the Softail Breakout and CVO Limited, the firm has bought one more surprise for us. The third member in the introduction row is the Touring specialist, Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special; a member belongs to the Project Rushmore. The newly launched cruiser motorcycle is the first to come in India, under the Touring section and as the name suggests, it is specifically designed special version derived from a street version. The Tourer motorcycle will be making its way towards Indian shores through the CBU kits and can be engaged from today onwards from any Harley-Davidson dealership showroom.

The Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special is built around the very same Twin Cam 103, air-cooled engine with an engine displacement of 1690cc, which was being used the Softail Breakout. The engine is mated to a 6-speed Cruise Drive Transmission through a chain drive and is capable to belt out a peak torque of 138Nm @ 3,500 RPM. The braking system of the cruiser motorcycle is catered by Brembo brakes along with reflex anti-lock braking system.

Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special

The attractive cosmetic features acquired by the Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special are the dual halogen headlamps, chrome finish twin-exhaust tail, saddle bags on either side and aluminum wheels. It also features a Boom! Box infotainment system having an operating touch screen 6.5 inches along with Bluetooth connectivity option. The speakers are being placed over the front visor, majorly known as 'Batwing-fairing'.

The Harley-Davidson has also provided Standard cruise control system in the Street Glide Special to enhance the riding capability of the tourer motorcycle. The controlling system of the cruiser motorcycle is associated with fully adjustable hydraulic suspension system. Now, here comes the most important thing, the pricing of the Street Glide Special. The company has launched this tourer motorcycle carrying a price tag of Rs 29.7 Lacs (Ex-Showroom Delhi).
