Isuzu India launches the D-Max V-Cross at INR 12.49 lakh

The Japanese carmaker's Isuzu D-Max V-Cross, pinned as Adventure Utility Vehicle has been launched in India at Rs. 12.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai). The UV is being manufactured locally at Isuzu's owned latest facility located in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. The Company has also started accepting bookings for the vehicle at a nominal cost of Rs. 50,000. However, the actual deliveries of the UV will commence from July this year.

Notedly, the D-Max V-Cross was first showcased this year at the Auto Expo 2016 in New Delhi. According to the automaker, Isuzu D-Max V-Cross "is designed to meet the aspirations of India's adventure seekers." The V-Cross is undoubtedly powerful and a complete off road utility vehicle. It is useful in both ways in catering buyers personal needs as well as commercial needs. It can also be used for daily commute as it endures comfortable ride and handling.

The V-Cross comes with an aggressive and unique wedge shaped design, standing on large 16-inch alloy wheels. It also get roof rails with chrome finish. The chassis frame is based on the latest iGRIP technology (Isuzu Gravity Response Intelligent Platform) that offer great strength and stability on uneven roads.

Under the hood, the V-Cross comes gets powered by a CRDi engine that churns out a maximum power of 134bhp along with 320Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. Moreover, the vehicle gets dial-type 4WD mode.

The interior offers an array of new features and upmarket cabin. The centre console of the dashboard comes equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen entertainment system with USB input, steering mounted audio controls, Bluetooth connectivity, DVD, AUX, iPod, electro-luminescent meters with MID (Multi Information Display), automatic AC and tilt adjustable steering. The front seats come with six-way adjustability feature. Additionally, the cabin holds nifty storage spaces such as storage bin under the central armrest and the split glove box. On the safety counterpart, the UV gets dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, and Brake Assist as standard.
