Mahindra is gearing up to go Vrooom with new motorcycle, Arro

After gaining huge success in the SUV range in the Indian Automobile market, it seems that Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd. is readying to print the same impression in the two-wheeler segment as well. For the past few months, the company is pretty much busy in testing its all upcoming scooters and motorcycles, which are being scheduled to launch before the festive season. The company had launched a commercial motorcycle, named Mahindra Arro in Uganda in the month of April, 2014.

Now, the time has come for the motorcycle to make its way towards the Indian market. It is expected that the manufacturer will unload the commuter motorcycle ahead of the festive season. The upcoming commuter motorcycle doesn’t carry jaw dropping looks along with it. A very basic design has been given to this motorcycle, which will be targeting the rural or low cost markets. Mahindra Arro is built around a double cradle chassis. This would be a rough and tough bike, which is pretty easy to maintain and doesn't require much services.

Talking about the technical details, the Arro is powered by a 4-stroke, Micro Chip ignited-5 curve (MCi-5) engine and giving an engine displacement of 106.7cc. The power figure achieved by the motorcycle is 8.5BHP @ 7,500RPM and a peak torque of 8.5Nm @ 5,500RPM. The commuter motorcycle is blessed with a 5-Step Adjustable Rear Shock Asorbers, a luggage carrier at the rear end along with grab rails, round-shape headlamp and LED taillights and last but not the least, the extra comfortable long seat.

The body color of the Mahindra Arro is enduring along with colored metallic front fender. The braking system has been taken care by drum brakes and the fuel tank capacity given by the company is 13.7 litres. Moving towards the pricing section, the all new Mahindra Arro is priced at UGX 29,90,000 in Uganda. In Indian market, the entry-level commuter motorcycle will be expected at Rs 39,999 (Ex-Showroom).
