Nissan Terrano AMT Now on Sale in India at INR 13.75 Lakh

Nissan Terrano AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) variant is now officially available in India at a price of INR 13.75 Lakh (Ex-Showroom Delhi). This AMT option is only introduced in the top-end trim and based on the XVD premium grade. However, the price of the car has already been announced and pre-bookings have also been started with a token amount of INR 25,000.

The AMT model of Nissan Terrano costs INR 60,000 more than the top-specs manual version. This AMT avatar also gets slightly tweaked interior and available in 7 different exterior body colours including a new one which is termed as ‘sandtone brown’. The rear section gets some new badge for easy identification of AMT variant.

Nissan Terrano AMT gets the same ZF-Sourced 6-Speed AMT that does duty in Renault Duster. Under the hood, the crossover AMT gets a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine which is capable of churning out the maximum power of 109 bhp in combination with the peak torque of 245 Nm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via 6-Speed AMT. The mill delivers an ARAI rated fuel mileage of 19.61 kmpl.

This AMT version shares drive assist features and other technologies with the Duster AMT, such as Hill Assist Control, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), electrically operable outside mirrors with integrated turn signals, anti-pinch driver side window, a new driver armrest, soft-touch plastics on the dashboard, and door trim. Besides, white backlit illumination on door switches, new door trim design, one touch turn indicators, and automatic warning for emergency braking come standard.

Nissan introduced Terrano in AMT avatar seven months after the Renault Duster facelift came in India. Terrano AMT costs INR 78,000 more than the Renault RXZ 4*2 AMT model, which is the same price difference between the top-end Renault Duster MT and Nissan Terrano MT.
