For 2015, Toyota certainly hasn't made any kind of goal to set up the new cars in India, but it is on the way to finish this year's bleak in 2016 by acquainting its plethora of vehicles at the Delhi Motor Show next year. Among these upcoming runabouts, the next generation Innova MPV, Fortuner SUV and the Vios mid sized sedan are anticipated to be the grand introductions of Toyota. Notably, its Vios is expected to be the one of the most noteworthy cars that would increase the public's attention towards sedan segment.
This model has already been caught while testing in our country many times with a charming body figure and spacious interior. It will fill the gap between the Etios and Corolla Altis as well as this car would take on the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Volkswagen Vento, Honda City, Skoda Rapid and Hyundai Verna. Based on the Yaris hatchback, the forthcoming sedan will be 4410 mm in length, 1700 mm in width, 1475 mm in height and 2550 mm in wheelbase. Internationally, the Toyota Vios will have a ground clearance of 147 mm, while its Indian version is presumed to get around 160 mm of ground clearance.
Toyota is likely to offer this vehicle in both mill options, including a 1.5 litre VVT-i engine and a 1.4 litre D-4D diesel unit. Both variants are about to produce the outputs of 107 bhp at 6,000 rpm, 141 Nm at 4200 rpm and 86.8 bhp, 170 Nm, respectively.
