TVS to Unveil the Concept of Apache 300 at the 2016 Auto Expo

While there were no new launches from India's third largest two wheeler manufacturer, TVS in the year 2015, it seems like the automaker is not in a mood to sit quietly any more as it will unveil two new concepts at the upcoming motto event, the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, named as- TVS Apache 300 and TVS U69, both based on the naked street fighter BMW G310R. Of the two, U69 will make its debut first in January 2017.

TVS Apache 300 will be in the category of a naked sports Tourer, whereas U69 makes a fully faired bike. As per the body graphics, both will inherit bits from the newly launched TVS Apache 200, which was unveiled in India and Indonesia a couple of days before. Powertrain on both these concepts comes from a 313cc single cylinder liquid cooled engine, which makes out 34BHP of power at 9500 RPM and 28NM of peak torque at 7500 RPM mated to a six speed transmission. The machine is developed by BMW Motorrad and claims a top speed of 36 KMPL.

Apart from this, the auto giant is also working on two more variants of 160cc and 180cc of the Apache. Both resemble identical to the 200 and will be based on the same. The prototypes of these lower capacity Tourers have been spied recently performing the road tests. We have seen the Apache 160 and 180 for quite a long period in the market and they need to get a proper update now. As they created a good harmony and strong fan base from the past few years, it is anticipated that the updated models will go on the same track and maintain the courtesy.

Moreover, TVS BMW G310R is also going to be unveiled at this Auto Expo and set for a launch later this year in the country. The automaker plans to start the production work at TVS's manufacturing facility in Hosur once all the three bikes get launched.

No new update apart from this has been addressed yet. It is expected that much of the new details will be revealed at the 2016 Auto Expo. For more latest news and updates about TVS bikes, stay connected to Sagmart.
