Chinese company Lenovo has again unveiled a new budget-friendly laptop for the Indian buyers, dubbed the IdeaPad 100S available for purchases at a price of INR 14,999. Apart from other specs, it's highlighting factor is the presence of latest Windows operating system on it i.e., Windows 10 operating system. The laptop is exclusively available on Snapdeal.
One mustn't forget that Lenovo first showcased the IdeaPad 100S alongside other IdeaPad and Yoga laptop models and convertibles at the IFA 2015 held in September. However, as is the case with every other gadget, in this case too the specifications of the Indian variant might differ from the specifications demonstrated in the international variant of the same gadget.

Speaking on the launch of the laptop, Ashok Nair Director, Home and Small Business, Lenovo India said, "Lightweight notebooks that offer superior functionality at affordable price points are a compelling choice in an era where consumers are always on the go and want to stay connected. In terms of specifications, the Lenovo IdeaPad sports an 11.6-inch HD display that gives a standard resolution of 1366*768 pixels. Under the terms of hardware, it is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor that clocks at a maximum speed of 1.8GHz. It comes with 2GB of 1600MHz DDR3L RAM, and 32GB of built-in flash storage that can be expanded via microSD card. The IdeaPad 100S laptop other than incorporating a 2-cell 39Whr battery under the back panel that as per company claims can deliver up to 8 hours of usage also offers standard connectivity options like Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, two USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI port, earphone and amplifier jack.
Additionally, the presence of Intel HD onboard graphics card further enhances the overall gaming experience of a user. The portable laptop sports a 0.3-megapixel webcam, and a standard keyboard.
The new IdeaPad 100S carries a moderate weight of 1kg, and measures 292x202x17.5mm. Also, if what reports suggest is true then one can also find the presence of Dolby Advanced Audio system aside from the two 1W speakers on board. The laptop is available in a Silver colour variant and comes with a 1-year onsite warranty.
