Apple is going through the time of call-backs and replacements. It's been not long since the U.S tech gargantuan called back the beat speakers because of overheating and sometimes exploding issues. Now Apple is preparing itself for exchanging behemoth 3TB Hard-Drives which were provided with iMacs in late 2012 and beginning of 2013.

According to Apple, they have come to know that "a very small number" of iMac machine were manufactured with malfunctioning hard-drives, which "may fail under certain circumstances". It was late 2012 when Apple started offering 3TB Hard-Drives as an option of storage with its Fusion Drives system. It is noticeable that such a mammoth hard-drives were never a part of an entry level iMac. However, it was available with professional and consumers who need more built-in space for photos, video files, music, and other media.

In Apple's words, it's a process of contacting consumers, who owns an affected system. And, if anyone wants to know that weather his/her system is included in the list of affected machine, it can be checked by submitting their serial number on Apple's website. If your iMac is out of warranty, there is nothing to worry about; the hard-drive would be swapped for free.

However, if your system is an affected one, make sure that you have created a backup of everything through Time Machine, as you have to reinstall everything in that new hard-drive.

Let's just hope that this would be the last thing that Apple needs to replace.
