Asus ZenFone Max Now Available in India with 5000mAh Battery

Just last month the Taiwanese company Asus unveiled Asus Zenfone Max in the country. Priced at INR 9,999 the latest reports confirm of it being available for purchase via e-commerce websites (Amazon, Flipkart etc.) as well as offline retail channels inclusive of the official stores of Asus.

It is the latest ZenFone series smartphone the company has put forward in the country and as per their press statement the company plans to expand their offline stores in the country. As of now the company holds just 100 self-branded exclusive stores and as said they wish to convert this number to 30,000 before the 2016 year ends.

The one thing that separates this smartphone from the rest of the crowd is its 5000mAh battery which the company claims can work as a power bank for other devices quite easily. However, one issue which the ZenFone Max buyers will face is that the battery on the handset is non-removable which for sure will be a troublesome experience for some. The company also claims that the ZenFone Max can deliver up to 914 hours of standby time and up to 38 hours of talk time.

As it happens, this smartphone too is set to rival against a lot of other high-end smartphones that possess the same features as ZenFone Max namely the Gionee Marathon M4, Lenovo Vibe P1 and Gionee Marathon M5. All these smartphones have been launched quite recently in the smartphone industry and are equally popular among the masses.

As far as the specs of the handset are concerned, the new ZenFone Max features a 5.5-inch HD IPS display running on ZenUI 2.0 that itself is based on Stock Android Lollipop v5.0 OS. Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon processor that comes coupled with a 2GB of RAM. It offers a memory capacity of 16GB internally that can be expanded up to 64GB via MicroSD card which nonetheless is quite less, however, the user has several other ways to overcome any memory issues.

Additionally, it's a dual-SIM variant that offers a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and sports a 5-megapixel camera on the front end. The handset just like its previous siblings supports Indian LTE brands coupled with other standard connectivity options like 3G, GPRS/EDGE, GPS etc.
