Lenovo Rolls Out Android 7.0 Nougat Updates to Moto G4 and G4 Plus Smartphones

Finally, after a wait of approx 2 months of launch, Moto G4, and G4 Plus smartphone users have now started getting Android 7.0 update across the country. The current update is getting delivered along with November Android Security Patch.

Moto G4 Plus Smartphone

The Moto G4 and G4 plus users in the country will get a notification on their smartphone for the update, saying, “New System Software is Available!”. After getting this message you have to tap on the notification and select, Yes, I’m in, and after the update is completely downloaded, click on Install now. The users, who do not get the notification don’t need to stress out, they can go to Settings > About Phone > System Updates, if the update is available, just follow the same procedure.

Moto G4 Smartphone

The company has advised the users to update their device by after getting connected to a Wi-Fi network and the battery should also be more than 50 percent charge, as the complete process will take about 20 minutes for completion. The new update according to the company will include, “new multitasking features, more efficient notification controls and improved data saver and battery features.”

Moto G4 Plus Smartphone

Apart from Android 7.0 update, the new update also includes a new Swipe to Shrink the Screen feature. The company is also introducing a new setting to disable and enable locking the screen while touching the fingerprint sensor with the screen ON. This setting can be managed by following Settings > Security > Screen lock gear icon.
