Meizu Unveils Another Variant of Meizu MX5 for INR 14,300

Last year in 2015, Meizu showcased its Meizu MX5 smartphone in China, and now as per the latest reports the Chinese company is all set to dispatch another variation of the same smartphone dubbed the Meizu MX5E. The variant priced at CNY 1,399 (approximately INR 14,300), can also be purchased via different retail stores in China. The new handset MX5E, when contrasted with the Meizu MX5, is marginally less expensive and features toned-down specifications. This new variant is yet to get showcased on the company's official website and the company has also not yet made any official statement as to when would the variant be made available outside the nation.

Meizu MX5E sports similar metal body as MX5

Though the company has not yet revealed the handset's Android OS version, however, what is known is that the Meizu MX5E is a Dual-SIM smartphone similar to the MX5, and sports a metal body alongside having a physical home button that additionally acts as the mTouch 2.0 finger impression scanner. It additionally highlights a 5.5-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display giving a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels and is protected by a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 over the top.

However apart from the aforementioned similarities, both the smartphones differ in terms of the inbuilt processor. While the Meizu MX5 sports a 64-bit MediaTek Helio X10 octa-core processor (Cortex-A53) timed at 2.2GHz, the new variant Meizu MX5E features a MediaTek MT6795 processor timed at 2GHz, combined with 3GB of RAM.

The two smartphones are different in terms of camera specs as well, since on one hand if the Meizu MX5E sports a 16-megapixel back camera, the Meizu MX5 comes equipped with a 20.7-megapixel camera. However, both feature the same 5-megapixel camera on the front side. The storage option is also an important key player in letting a user decide on the smartphone and keeping that in mind, the company has offered the new variant with 16GB of onboard storage powered by a 3150mAh battery. The handset offers standard connectivity options like 4G LTE, 3G, GPS/A-GPS, Glonass, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and lastly Micro-USB.

Meizu m3 note to launch soon feturing 5.5-inch display

It is also believed and expected that the Chinese company would unveil its Meizu m3 Note smartphone real soon and as per the reports, the handset is said to highlight the Helio X10 MediaTek MT6795 SoC coupled with a 5.5-inch display. It also comes with 2GB RAM and offers two storage options namely 16GB and 32GB. It is expected that the 16GB variant of the handset would be priced at CNY 799 (approximately INR 8,000) while the 32GB variant would be available for purchase at CNY 999 (approximately INR10,000). It's worth a mention that the handset is powered by a 3200mAh battery.
