Moto C Launched in India With 4G VoLTE Support at Rs 5,999

After making its debut in the month of May, 2017, Lenovo’s Moto C budget smartphone has finally made its way to India. The new offering by the company will be available in Pearl White and Starry Black colour variants via leading offline retailers across over 100 cities in India with a price tag of Rs 5,999.

At the time of its debut, the Android smartphone was made available in two variants including a 3G version starting at EUR 89 (Rs. 6,200 approx) with 1GB RAM/8GB storage, and a 4G variant starting at EUR 99 (Rs. 6,900 approx) with 1GB RAM/8GB storage. Now, the company has introduced a new variant especially for India, which is blessed with 1GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt storage, 4G VoLTE support, and dual-SIM (Micro-SIM) card slots.

The Dual-SIM smartphone comes sporting capacitive navigation buttons and lacks the availability of any fingerprint sensor at any side of it. The speaker grille is housed at the rear side of the handset, whereas the 3.5mm audio jack can be seen at the top edge along with the Micro-USB port. The camera of the device is embedded at rear panel in a ring-shaped module with flash. You will also notice a Motorola logo at the middle of the rear panel.

In term of specifications, the GSM handset features a 5-inch FWVGA display with a resolution of 480x854 pixels and runs Android 7.0 Nougat OS. It is powered by a 1.1GHz MediaTek MT6737M quad-core Cortex-A53 SoC paired with 1GB of RAM. The company has also allowed the user to expand its inbuilt memory up to 32GB via MicroSD card.

In term of optics, the handset packs a 5-megapixel rear sensor with 1.4-micron pixels, 74-degree field of view, fixed focus, a LED flash, and 720p video recording. A 2-megapixel front shooter is also provided by the company with 1-micron pixels, a 63-degree field of view, fixed focus, and a LED flash for selfie enthusiasts. It is backed up by a 2350 mAh removable battery, measures 145.5x73.6x9mm and weighs 154 grams.
