Google has introduced a new public transport navigation app specially for New Delhi in India. Even the Google Maps itself, offering a public transport and transit options in many cities around the world. But the Delhi Public Transport Offline App shows that it is the Google's first ever city specific app for the travelers.
This app will ready to help the peoples to navigate their way around the capital's public transportation system even without an active Internet connection. It is free to install and use, and supports DMRC Metro, DTC bus, Gurgaon Rapid Metro and DIMTS Orange bus.
The offline app lets you to search the directions to metro and bus stations, look up their timings and your travel routes even in offline mode. If you are online, then the app also provides you Delhi metro and bus transit news and delays.
This app is pointed out as an experimental app by the Google Maps team. It is designed to help Delhi peoples get around on public transit. The features of the app may change quickly based on the usage and the feedback from the users.
Although the Google Maps offers a pretty good transport app service in major places such as London, where specific use of apps such as Citymapper have continued to flourish because of its design and user experience.
This Delhi Transport app is of 1MB in size and is available for download only for Android users from the Google Play Store and is compatible with Android versions 3.0 and above.
