Truecaller capped 100 million Users and more in India

Truecaller is one such app that has already taken its place in the market as well as in smartphones of various users. The company has claimed it to have over 100 million users in India. The caller app is secure and provides you the information about the unknown number calling you.

Kari Krishnamurthy, vice president of growth and partnerships in Asia, said, "It's heartening to see the enormous and enthusiastic support of our users, which has helped us to reach the 100 million mark in India today. This underscores the value and benefits the app offers to our users". Further adding, he said, "Truecaller has solved the most basic but inherent problem for millions of users and as we move forward our aim is to take this experience to every corner of the country".  

The application is a private platform to stop the spamming activity and halt unknown numbers to block spam calls. According to the company, it identifies 900 million calls a month and one in seven calls are spam.  The company is planning to expand its territory over the time. It has recent partnership with Gionee, Obi, Celkon, Airtel, Tata Docomo, Cyanogen, Microsoft, Micromax and many others. It has now decided to increase the partnerships to earn more revenue.

The company has claimed that it has been focusing on tier II and III markets in India to get the users to explore the world of Truecaller to give them a smarter communication experience. The app is available on Android, BlackBerry, iOS, Windows, ANokia feature phones, Tizen and Firefox. An additional app called, Truedialer is available for Android and  Windows phone with Truemessenger app is available for free on Android, and is complementary to the Truecaller and Truedialer apps.

Recently, the company has launched first ever known brand campaign to highlight the theme 'Take the Right Call'. The act is being focused on by Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui to tell his story.
