Google Maps Reached to 12 More Indian Cities to Inform about Real-Time Traffic

There is a good news for Indians who are not the citizens of metropolitan cities or some other tier 1 cities. As we all know that Google Map is the best to provide navigation. In select cities, it also provides real-time traffic information. However, Google has covered almost big cities, but few cities with heavy traffic left by the search engine giant from this feature. But now, people from some other cities can also take the benefit of Google Map’s real-time traffic feature.

Kolkata, Coimbatore, Lucknow, Surat, Thiruvananthapuram, Indore, Ludhiana, Visakhapatnam, Nagpur, Kochi, Madurai, and Bhopal, these are 12 cities which are blessed by Google Maps’ real-time traffic feature to inform people about the traffic on roads. Both desktop and mobile users can take the benefit of this feature. Currently, we can get the traffic details on all national highways and expressways in country.

It maps the routes in versatile colors through which commuters can see the traffic on specific routes. Each color describes the traffic speed on roads. Green color shows the clear routs, orange for medium traffic and red for heavy traffic. Well, all of these to work, traffic layer should be on in Maps. Google works in Navigation mode to provide real-time traffic detail. Google stated, "We’re constantly working on making Google Maps a more comprehensive, daily tool for Indians, and we hope that this new real-time traffic information for 12 cities and all national highways will help drivers across the country find the best routes to their destinations with the fewest delays."
