IRCTC Partnered With Oyo Rooms To Offer Room Bookings To Passengers

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has collaborated up with the Oyo Rooms to offer a budget room at IRCTC hotel-booking page to train travellers.

The IRCTC Tourism made the announcement, the official website lists a new tab titled 'IRCTC Oyo Hotels'. This tab redirects the user to move on Oyo Room's website where users can complete the bookings. The tourism department integrates all the searches under the 'Budget Hotel's tab, along with IRCTC's inventory of lounges, retiring rooms, and own list of hotels on the Oyo Room website.

Commenting on the Collaboration, IRCTC CMD Dr. A.K Maocha said that this type of initiative will brings the new wave of innovation. This partnership will play an important role in the "Make in India" initiative.

"As India's widest and largest network, we feel confident of catering to the passengers' needs and look forward to making this alliance a great success," said Abhinav Sinha, COO, Oyo Rooms.

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is one of the largest e-commerce portals in India, where on an average about 5 to 5.5 lakh bookings is placed daily. Earlier, it was partnered with mobile wallet players like Mobikwik and Paytm, and Foodpanda to deliver the food services.
