It definitely is a good news, but for now, this feature is limited only to the regions of Western Europe and North America and it is expected that the global rollout will begin soon. Though this feature is already in use by those users who are enrolled in Skype for Business and the company now plans to make it available on a worldwide basis and henceforth, this feature is now also available for non-subscribers.

This feature will allow users to make full-screen video calls in HD quality and is designed in such a way that no matter what device the user is using, the feature would automatically get optimized according to that. In terms of UI, the person who's calling gets displayed on the front and in the center. To give a crystal clear voice, the feature makes use of the company's native SILK Super Wide Band audio codec. Microsoft stated, "To achieve this, we're proud to have worked with one of Microsoft's biggest partners, Intel, which helped enable us to optimize SILK Audio specifically for Azure running on Intel processors."

Apart from Hd quality calling, users are also given the option to switch between a grid view or a switch to focus view where Skype automatically focuses on the active speaker, or lets callers choose which participant to 'Pin' to the stage. Additionally, users can also make use of their other social media links like WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter or even Messenger to let other people join them just by sharing their link.
