The largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the world, Hero MotoCorp is developing an off-road motorcycle of around 150cc and above segment, and will be launched in the middle of the next financial year 2018-2019. In the 150+ cc segment, Bajaj is the leader with 31%, followed by Honda at 14.8%,Yamaha at 10.7%, TVS at 12.5%, Royal Enfield at 25%.
”We are going to build up focus on the two growing segments-premium motorcycles and scooters — with the new products.
Apart from that, Hero has identified the premium segment as one of its top priorities; and multiple motorcycles in the 200cc range have been planned. The report also indicate that Hero is working on a higher-powered (200cc) off-road motorcycle which will be launched this fiscal year. Two motorcycles in the 200cc range are being developed currently with two variants one of them is the Hero Xtreme 200S, whereas another another variant is 200cc motorcycle.
Apart from the bike segment, Hero is also planning a scooter segment as well. Additionally, two new scooters are also reportedly to hit the market in the first quarter of 2018.

The engine is likely to be tuned to these two motorcycles will be a single cylinder 4 stroke air cooled FI mill that will deliver power in the range of 19 PS. Features on offer these bikes will include LED headlights, sporty stance, LED tail lights, digital instrument console, LED turn indicators,disc brakes, optional ABS, etc.
