Out of a slew of impending launches this festive season, Hero Motocorp is gearing up for the new Achiever, which is arriving on September 26. As all the automakers are looking forward to Diwali for the unveiling of their respective models, how can Hero lag behind in the race? The native two-wheeler maker has been strategizing for the new variant since quite a while and now it’s all set to introduce the bike.
Nothing real has been seen on the new Achiever apart from some of the cosmetic tweaks. As the motorcycle has been serving the automobile sector for a very long time, the automaker, perhaps would have thought to change the aesthetics and the powertrain. However, nothing much has been heard from the Gurgaon-based company yet, but we can expect the forthcoming bike to get major exterior alterations in order to make it more eye-striking.
On the mechanical front, we don’t think the company would play much with the engine. Though, it could be more fuel-efficient and might get the Integrated start-stop system patented by Hero.
No wonder why Hero has a long-term strategy for its line-up to taste a success bite in near future. In the beginning, it is going to update its bread and butter vehicles namely, the 100cc Splendor iSmart followed by the Maestro Edge and Duet. As the graph of scooters has been growing up in recent times, it won’t be wrong for Hero to think about increasing the production of the aforementioned units.

By the launch of new Hero Achiever, the company is making its first move to strengthen the portfolio in the 150cc segment. Prominent rivals that it would be competing with are the Bajaj Pulsar 150 and the Honda Unicorn 150.
