2018 Honda CB Hornet 160R Price Revised, Gets Marginal Hike of INR 559

Honda 2 Wheelers India has revised the pricing of its premium naked 150cc bike, the 2018 CB Hornet 160R. Now all of its variants will priced INR 559 expensive than the previous pricing. Here is the upgraded pricing of all the variants.

Mind you, the pricing for the brand’s sports tourer in the quarter-litre segment, the 2018 CBR 250R has also been increased by a margin.

The motorcycle in question, the CB Hornet 160R has witnessed changes for the model year 2018. The alteration includes the emergence of an LED headlamp, reworked instrument cluster with blue backlight, hazard lamp function, a low-maintenance seal chain and new graphics work as well. With the introduction of an all-LED headlamp, the motorcycle has become the first one to get this feature among its rivals. Furthermore, for an improved riding experience the company armed the motorcycle with an advanced safety feature of single-channel ABS as an optional extra.

Mechanically, the next-gen CB Hornet 160R employs a 162.71cc single-cylinder H.E.T. air-cooled engine as its beating heart. The engine is rated to develop 15.09PS at 8500rpm and deliver 14.5Nm at 6500rpm to the rear wheel via a mated five-speed gearbox transmission.

A 276mm and 220mm petal discs handle braking duty on the motorcycle at the front and rear wheel respectively. Whereas, in the standard variant a 130mm drum brake takes place at the rear wheel in order to keep the pricing in check. Based on a diamond-type frame, the CB Hornet 160R suspends on telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock.

In the segment, the 2018 Honda CB Hornet 160R goes in competition with the likes of the Suzuki Gixxer, Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 and TVS Apache RTR 160 4V as well.
