Jaguar Land Rover to Develop More Cars Under SVO Division

The Jaguar Land Rover has made a plan to develop its various cars under the Special Vehicle Operation (SVO) division for making them capable to be directed by the driver on the rugged roads. Recently, the manufacturer has revealed the Jaguar F-Type Project 7 as well as the Range Rover Sport SVR, which have been developed under SVO and the head of this division has ratified that apart from the special edition, they will also manufacture the facelift models. John Edwards (Head of SVO) said that he also wants to retouch four more luxury cars, such as on-road performance cars, all terrain performance cars, luxury derivatives and the collector’s editions.

The boss of SVO said  “On-road performance is fairly easy; you just think about ‘M’ and ‘AMG’ and think how can we apply the same thinking. All-terrain is slightly different; clearly much more appropriate for Land Rover than Jaguar. Land Rover has that all-terrain capability built into all its products, but we need to give customers the permission to use it.” Edwards confessed that the carriages will have the potential to tackle with the arduousness as well as to be controlled on the off road. For increasing the usability and the hardness, the luxury parts of the vehicles will be diverging.

He depicted “For example, the material for the seats; it’s leather versus a material that’s very durable and very hi-tech. It’s about ground clearance, it’s about wheel and tyre combinations, it’s about underbody protection, because actually the capability of the cars is class-leading anyway in most cases.”
