Suzuki Gixxer SF, Bookings Open, Launching on 7th April

The jaw-dropping news coming to way of the fully-faired motorcycle enthusiasts is that the Suzuki Motorcycles is almost ready to pull-up the curtains for the upcoming faired version. The long-rumored upcoming motorcycle, named as Suzuki Gixxer SF, has made its appearance at the local dealership located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. However, the arrival of the faired version motorcycle wasn't really expected so early, but the step taken by the company gives a clear indication that the Gixxer SF is heading towards its launching date, which is 7th April, 2015.

Technically, the Suzuki Gixxer SF is sharing its mechanism with the naked version motorcycle, i.e. Suzuki Gixxer. The faired version is powered by the very same single-cylinder motor carrying an engine displacement of 154.9cc. The air-cooled, fuel-carbureted engine is tuned to deliver a maximum power of 14.6 BHP @ 8000 RPM and achieve a maximum torque of 14Nm @ 6000 revs. The 154.9cc displaced engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission and being a fuel-injected engine incorporated with the Suzuki Eco Performance, it would be expected to be a fuel-efficient sports motorcycle.

Launched on 9th September, 2014, the Suzuki Gixxer has known as the tough competitor against the existing Yamaha FZ and FZ-S and other 150cc displaced engine motorcycles. Eventually, in terms of performance the Suzuki Gixxer has already marked-up its name, as it is awarded as the Best motorcycle of the year by several magazines. The same expectations have been put across from the Suzuki Gixxer SF.

The firm has surely given the very same riding quality to the faired version as well by using the identical chassis and suspensions. The speed of the motorcycle has been guarded by a front disc brake and drum brake at the rear. The dealership has started accepting bookings for the upcoming motorcycle with an initial amount of Rs 5000.
