Yamaha Shipped 150cc Scooter for Testing, Launch Soon

After the huge success of Fascino, the company has imported two units of a 150cc scooter for Research and Development purpose. It will be the first 150cc scooter in the segment that will make its position in the Indian two-wheeler market. On the other end, the Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt Ltd and Hero MotoCorp have showcased their 150cc scooter at the 2014 Auto Expo. The showcased scooters from both these companies are Honda PCX 150cc and Hero ZIR 150cc.

Yamaha NMAX Red

The Yamaha NMAX has been launched in Indonesia, while it might get launched in India by the next year. The 150cc Maxi scooter will surely get a good response from the audience, whereas the styling will make another reason to select it. The scooter will be featured with front disc brake to make your ride comfortable.

The duo 150cc units will share technical specifications with Yamaha's 150cc NMAX. Such as, the Yamaha NMAX is powered by a 155cc, liquid-cooled and four-stroke engine, which produces 15 PS of power and 14.4 Nm of torque. The power output is transmitted to the rear wheel via a CVT transmission. The entry-level scooters will be featuring with Yamaha’s Blue Core technology that will improve the power output as well as mileage.

The Honda dominated scooter segment is slightly moving towards another way, as the competition in the scooter segment is heating up each passing day. Started from the 110cc, the manufacturers have now acquired bigger engine displacement even for scooters.
