Gionee P5W Launched in 5 Color Variants at INR 6,499

Just last month we informed you of the fact that Chineses technocrat Gionee after launching Marathon M5 also paved a way for its new offering Gionee P5W as it was spotted online. Taking one step forward the company has now officially launched the product at a price of INR 6,499. The company is offering five color variants to all its users namely: White, Black, Blue, Red, and Yellow.

The new handset offers an onboard storage capacity of 16GB that is easily expandable using an external MicroSD card. It features a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel camera on the front side which though not being great is enough for the purpose of video calling. The device runs on Android Lollipop with a topping of Immersive UI and under the hood is powered by a 1.3Ghz quad-core processor that itself is coupled with a 1GB RAM. Since, the users are picky and have started considering camera resolution and its specs an important part of purchasing a new product, the camera of Gionee P5W also offers all new beautification options, filters and panorama shots.

Timir Baran Acharyya, GM, Gionee India said, The idea behind introducing P5W has been the youth and their fascination towards carrying bright colorful phones. P5W comes in exciting color ranges from white, blue, red, yellow and black. The look and the feel of carrying the device have been thoroughly thought after. Aiming specifically at the youth of the country, we are sure that the device would gauge tremendous interest as like its predecessors.

It is a dual-SIM variant that sports a 5-inch HD display and alongside showing a display of 720 x 1280 pixel resolution, it also features Oncell technology. On the dimension front, it measures 143.3x72x8.9mm and carries a weight of 153 grams. Apart from all the standard connectivity options like 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth the handset also possess a new customized lock feature called as the AMI lock. Additionally, it allows users to scan their face to unlock the device in just 0.5 seconds using a Face Unlock feature.
