LG Confirms Launching LG G5 in Next Quarter of 2016

Today, LG has announced that it will launch the G5 flagship smartphone in India in the next quarter. The company has already showcased the smartphone in the MWC 2016 event with its innovative removable battery and modular design. It is expected that smartphone could easily touch the range of Rs. 50,000.

As for the specifications, the LG G5 sports a 5.3-inch QHD IPS display having a resolution of 1440*2560 pixels and is offering a pixel density of 554ppi. The LG G5 with its modular design allow the users to swap in modules such as batteries, camera module, Hi-Fi audio chip, smart controller and lots more.

The LG G5 is powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor and runs on Android based Marshmallow operating system out of the box. The high-end smartphone is coupled with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and comes with 32GB UFS ROM and has expandable storage up to 2TB via microSD card.

At the photography end, the smartphone bears a dual rear camera setup with 16-megapixel, 78-degree lens and an 8-megapixel, 135 degree wide angle lens. It has also an 8-megapixel front facing camera to take high-quality selfies.

For the connectivity, the LG G5 includes 4G LTE, USB Type-C port compatible with USB 3.0 standard, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. It houses a fingerprint scanner and will be available in Silver, Gold, Pink and Titan color variants. The LG G5 is backed by a 2800mAh battery with Quick charge 3.0 technology.
