LG Launches X500 With 5.5-inch Display, Android 7.0 Nougat, 4500mAh Battery

LG, the renowned Korean smartphone maker has launched LG X500 paired with massive 4500mAh battery set up. The smartphone has been launched only in Korea with a price tag of 319,000 Korean Won (Approx. Rs. 18,361). LG is also working on the successor of the LG G6, dubbed LG G7, which is expected to hit the market possibly later in the year or in the beginning of 2018. As of now, there are no words on India launch.

Coming to the newly launched LG X500, the key highlight of the smartphone is its battery. To recall, LG had earlier revealed that they would launch a device on June 4, with a powerful battery set up. The company said that the smartphone will be the best in terms of power capacity. LG X500 is backed by a massive 4500 mAh battery which is said to allow users to play video games for over 20 hours without charging. LG X500 further claims that the phone takes about an hour to recharge the battery to 50 percent.

In terms of specs and look, the newly announced LG X500 resembles the LG XPower 2. The smartphone comes packed with a 5.5-inch LCD HD display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. It is further powered by 1.5GHz octa-core processor which is paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage. The storage memory can be further expandable up to 2TB via microSD card. Further, the smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS out-of-the-box.

On the camera front, the LG X500 comes with the 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while on the front, the smartphone comes with 5-megapixel front-facing camera with soft LED flash and a wide-angle lens for selfies. As mentioned earlier, the battery is the key highlight of the LG X500 and has been backed by a huge 4500mAh battery. The company claims that the smartphone with such a powerful and massive battery will deliver up to approximately 18 hours of call time and is capable of delivering a standby time of almost 810 hours.

LG is also expected to announce an affordable version of the LG G6, confirms Amit Gujral, head corporate marketing, LG Electronics India said speaking exclusively with India Today Tech. He further states that the affordable LG G6 variant will also be launched in India in the coming 8 to 10 weeks.
