Huawei, on the lines of its consumer-centric innovative approach, launched a new 'Ride Mode' feature for its Honor 9 Lite smartphone users. The new safety feature rolled via OTA (over-the-air) update exclusively for Honor 9 Lite smartphones in India. Ride Mode is identical to the S Bike mode feature available in the Samsung Galaxy J3 which was launched in 2016. The feature will ensure that Honor 9 Lite users can safely ride their two-wheelers and remain undisturbed by incoming calls. Other phones in the Huawei Honor Family like the 7X and 9i will also be getting the new Ride Mode feature via OTA updates.
The Ride Mode update on the Honor 9 Lite will be made available in batches and completed in a month. Once the update is completed. Users can then access the new feature in two ways.
By activating it from drop-down notifications menu.
By going to the smartphone's Settings menu.

Besides, the Honor 9 Lite packs a punch with its features for a budget smartphone. The dual-SIM smartphone runs EMUI 8.0, based on Android 8.0 Oreo. It boasts of a 5.65-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2160 pixels) IPS display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It runs on the Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC, coupled with 3GB and 4GB RAM variants. Add to these amazing features, the dual camera setups on the front and back 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors respectively. Last but not the least, the Honor 9 Lite users in India received Face Unlock feature via an OTA update.
On the storage front, the smartphone lovers have the options of 32GB and 64GB variant. The memory is further expandable to 256GB via microSD card in a hybrid dual-SIM configuration. The Honor 9 Lite supports Micro-USB with OTG, Bluetooth, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. 149 gm by weight, the Honor 9 Lite is powered by a 3000mAh battery. The 3GB RAM/ 32GB variant is available for Rs. 10,999 whereas, the Honor 9 Lite variant comes with a price tag of Rs. 14,999.
